Product Details
The name cranberry is derived from “craneberry”, first named by early European settlers in America who felt the expanding flower, stem, calyx, and petals resembled the neck, head, and bill of a crane. Cranberries have moderate levels of vitamin C, dietary fiber and the essential dietary mineral, manganese. As fresh cranberries are hard and bitter, cranberries are processed and sold dried and sweetened. This berry is also used in baking (muffins, cakes and breads etc). Dried cranberry are a quick snack to grab on the go. A serving of dried cranberries provides trace amounts of iron, potassium and vitamin E as well.
Usage
6-7 pieces of dried cranberry should be included in a daily diet. However diabetic people should avoid their consumption as they are having significant sugar content as well. Cranberry juice is one of the most commonly used juice in America and Europe. Also cranberry is used in salads, bakery and plenty of other worldwide recipes.
