Dried Coconut

The more common name of dried coconut is copra, originated from the Malayalam word “koppra”. Coconut oil is extracted from it and this has made copra an important agricultural commodity. Making copra - removing  the shell, breaking it up, drying is usually done where coconut palms grow. Copra is made by smoke drying, sun drying or kiln drying. Dried coconut often goes underappreciated when compared to other dried fruits. However if you are interested in eating healthy, you definitely need to include it in diet.
